Great health begins at the root
Ionized Oxygen Therapy (IOT)
Patients treated with Ionized Oxygen Therapy inhale pure, medical grade oxygen that has been treated to produce either a negative or positive charge on the oxygen. Generally, inhaling negative ions is known to create a relaxing effect while positive ions create a stimulating effect but both have a profound regulatory effect on the nervous, immune, gastrointestinal, intercellular matrix, and inflammatory systems. Although IOT can be used to treat just about any condition, it has proven particularly beneficial in such cases as high and low blood pressure, heart and circulatory disorders, migraine, dizziness, difficulty concentrating, asthma, emphysema, cancer, arthritis, general stress and fatigue.
Biological Terrain Assessment (BTA)
Biological Terrain Assessment incorporates the study of biochemistry and nutrition. It is a computerized analysis of blood, urine and saliva fluids, which provides evidence of disease or other harmful conditions at the cellular level. A devise called the BTA S-2000 determines the pH (acid-alkaline), resistivity (mineral) and redox (electron) levels of each of the specimens and enables practitioners to detect, assess and correct just about any imbalance before a condition becomes chronic and requires more invasive medical procedures. It is useful for diagnosing immune-system diseases, allergies and autoimmune diseases, metabolic diseases, environmental/toxicological related diseases, heart/circulatory diseases, nervous-system diseases, digestive organ diseases, and viral or bacterial infections.
There are over one hundred trillion cells in the human body. They live and work in a nutrient-filled liquid universe known as the biological terrain or inner environment of the body. This environment nourishes all of the cells, providing them with necessary electrolytes, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, hormones and water. The cells absorb what they need to survive and maintain cellular health but, if the greater environment is unhealthy, the cells are forced to feed from an unhealthy environment and will fail to thrive, or even survive. Unhealthy cells, either lacking in nutrition and hydration or overwhelmed by toxicity, cannot defend the body from illness or other harmful organisms such as, viruses, parasites, yeast or fungus.
Practitioners at the Center for Biological Medicine understand the vital role a healthy inner biological environment plays in supporting an individual’s overall state of health and with the BTA are able to address any underlying imbalances causing lack of vitality. The results empower both the practitioner and patient with the highly specific and individualized knowledge needed to set up the most effective care plan to bring health success.
Darkfield Microscopy
Darkfield Microscopy is a very effective method used to examine living blood cells with a specially adapted, high-power microscope. Live blood analysis takes approximately 30-40 minutes. It is carried out by first withdrawing a very small drop of blood from the patient’s fingertip. The drop of blood is then placed on a clean microscope slide and covered with a glass cover slip to keep it from drying out. Once the blood specimen is in place, the dark-field microscope’s high magnification projects a vivid image onto a monitor where both the practitioner and patient can easily see the health state of blood cells, bacteria and other microorganisms.
Using this method to observe living blood in detail, such as the contours and shapes of red blood cells and platelets, reveals important information, which may otherwise remain untouched by the eye. Analysis may show a patient is suffering from vitamin and mineral deficiencies, toxicity, excessive fat circulation, liver weakness, and arteriosclerosis, among a host of other health harming scenarios. For instance, a healthy person commonly has about 300,000 platelets in a cubic centimeter of blood. These disc-shaped platelets help stop any uncontrollable bleeding in the blood vessels but, if there are too many platelets they can become devastatingly harmful and cause a hearth attack from excess clotting.
Live blood analysis can also reveal the following:
- Poor blood/oxygen circulation
- Cell damage
- Fatigue
- Candida/yeast
- Bacteria
- Parasite infestation
- Uric acid crystal
- Iron deficiency
- Essential Vitamin and Mineral deficiencies
- Anemia
- Allergy
- Dehydration
- Liver toxicity
